Bryce Dallas Howard Is The New Victoria in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse
In the first two installment of the Twilight Saga (Twilight and New Moon), the role of Victoria is being played by Rachelle Lefevre. Some changes on the cast were made for the upcoming and the third sequel of Twilight Saga, Lefevre is replaced by Bryca Dallas in portraying the role of Victoria.
Bryce Dallas Howard is a daughter of a highly successful director Ron Howard. She is known for her role in Spiderman 3 (Gwen Stacy) and Terminator Salvation (Kate Connor).
According to Summit Entertainment executive Erik Feig, “We are incredibly happy that Bryce has agreed to come into the franchise. Rachelle brought “Victoria” to great screen life and Bryce will bring a new dimension to the character. The franchise is lucky to have such a talented actress as Bryce coming in to fill the role.”
In the first two installment of installment of Twilight Victoria plays a minor role in assisting her lover and coven leader, James in hunting Bella Swan. As the story progresses the role of Victoria as villainess escalates. On the Twilight Saga: Eclipse Victoria creates an army of bloodthirsty newborn vampires in Seattle to rise up against the combined forces of the werewolves and Cullen family.
Victoria is described in the Stephenie Meyer book as a red-haired, cat-like vampire. Her supernatural talent is self-preservation.
The audience may not notice the change in “Victoria” because there was so little character development in the first two movies, I guess only the hardcore Twilight fanatics will notice the changes and the absence of Rachelle Lefevre.
As for me, I am excited to watch Twilight Saga: Eclipse Online to see how Bryce Dallas Howard would fare as Victoria. The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is scheduled to be released on June 30, 2010.
