It’s 21st century, people from outer space can send tweets to earth, yet the gods of Mt. Olympus are still messing with mortals on earth. They even just stepped out of from the mythology books of Percy Jackson. That is, in essence, the story of the upcoming fantasy-adventure movie from 20th Century Fox Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief.

The Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief is the kick-off of the movies series based on the novel written by Rick Riordan. The novel is consisting of 5 books, the first book of the novel series is The Lightning Thief.

The plot of the first Percy Jackson Movie revolves around Percy Jackson, a teenage old boy who is half mortal half god or they called it as the demigod. After being attacked by his teacher, Percy Jackson finds out that he is the son of a Greek god Poseidon. Percy was sent to Camp Half-Blood, a camp for children with a Greek god parent located in Long Island. Percy is accused of stealing Zeus’ master lightning bolt.

He embarks on a journey across modern-day America with his friends Annabeth Chase, a demigod daughter of Athena, and Grover Underwood, a satyr, in order to save his mother and return Zeus’ stolen lightning bolt. Percy is given ten days to return Zeus bolt to Mount Olympus to prevent a war between the gods.

The movie is directed by a renowned director Chris Chris Columbus. The director who is known for blockbuster movie like Harry Potter 1 & 2, the Fantastic Four, Home Alone and many other blockbuster films. The Percy Jackson Movie stars Logan Lerman as Percy Jackson, Brandon T. Jackson as Grover Underwood, Percy’s best friend, Alexandra Daddario as Annabeth Chase, Pierce Brosnan as Chiron, Uma Thurman as Medusa, Jake Abel as Luke Castellan, the film’s antagonist and many others.
